Lombok is a land in Indonesia. Just 5 hours by ship or an hour flight from Bali. Actually, this trip was not what I've planned to go to. After studied in Pare, I would go to Ijen and Menjangan island in Bali. Some people said that Mount Kelud would have an erruption. Besides, after I went to Bromo a week earlier, that mountain was closed due to the dangeerous situation. Because of that, the plan to go to Ijen was cancelled. Bye, blue fire! If I only went to Menjangan, that would be such a waste of 4-days-trip, in my opinion. I've already gone to a lot of place in Bali. Then, me and my friend, Kak Tri, decided to go to Lombok. Without any plan before hahaha.
We went to Denpasar from Surabaya using a bus. After we were on street for about 10 hours, we arrived at Denpasar, yoohoo! But, wait. It was already 10 pm and there was no public transportation for IDR 30K. We didn't know what we must do. After talking with the police, guard, driver, ojek, saleswoman, other passangers, maybe thief and sex criminal, they all advised us to rent a car that cost IDR 100K. Kak Tri didn't want that thing and finally after 1 am, 2 ojek drivers wanted to accompany us to the Padang Bai Harbor for IDR 60K. I just wanna say thanks a lot to the guard there because they really cared to us :')
And let the journey began.... It was a looong and horrible journey. I now know why the ojek driver at first didn't want to accompany us. I felt like my butt was going to crash. I sat for more than an hour in a motorcycle, at a cold night, with a boring straight road. We arrived at 3 pm to the ferry with 3 other passangers. I thought we only sailed for 30 mins like a ferry to go to Bali from Java island. IT TOOK 5 HOURS! Thank God, the ferry was well furnished. I just prayed that another people in that ferry wouldn't annoy us. Thanks God that happened!
We finally arrived, yeah Lembar in the morning is AWESOME! We took a breakfast and used a car to go to Gili Trawangan. Actually, the car is owned by a police and (again) he advised us like a lot of people in Denpasar hahaha. After that, we used cidomo because we're too tired. I didn't know what cidomo is. It is actually a regular delman or andong in Javanese -_-
Me and Kak Tri met Damar in Bangsal Harbor, and he accompanied us till the end of our Lombok journey hahaha. He is a 25-yo-man from Semarang that went to Lombok to be in his bestfriend wedding. Just wait for the next surprise, reader! (Feeling like I have readers)
